Happy Good Friday ✝️ – The dawn of Easter

The Dawn of Easter
Beneath the cloak of twilight’s hue,
Where shadows blend with morning dew,
A tale unfolds, both old and true,
Of Easter’s grace, of life anew.
In ancient lands, where olives grow,
Where winds of sorrow softly blow,
A cross once stood in somber glow,
Its weight the world would come to know.
The Son of Man, with love divine,
Endured the thorns, the whip, the pine,
And in His death, a sacred sign,
That light through darkness would align.
The stone was sealed, the tomb was cold,
A cavern carved for grief to hold.
The hearts of followers, once so bold,
Now trembled as their hopes grew old.
Three days of silence, three of pain,
The heavens hushed, the earth’s refrain
A muted cry, a tearful strain,
Could death’s grim grasp forever reign?
But lo, the dawn of Easter morn,
When light from shadow’s grip was torn!
The stone rolled back, the veil was shorn,
And resurrection’s hope was born.
An angel clad in radiant white,
Proclaimed with joy, dispelling night:
“He is not here, He lives in light!
The Christ has risen, as was His right!”
The women ran, their hearts ablaze,
Their tears transformed to songs of praise.
The garden bloomed in golden rays,
As death was vanquished in its maze.
Mary, with love that never waned,
Heard Jesus call her name, unchained.
No longer bound by grief’s cruel stain,
She saw her Lord, alive again.
The news like wildfire swept the land,
From humble hearts to Heaven’s strand.
The empty tomb, where none could stand,
Revealed the work of God’s own hand.
The disciples, scattered, now made whole,
Felt fire ignite within their soul.
For Christ had conquered death’s control,
And promised life to make them whole.
Oh, Easter, season of rebirth,
You sing of Heaven touching earth!
Of spring’s first bloom, of joy’s new mirth,
Of sacred love’s unending worth.
The lily white, the morning star,
Proclaim the truth where’er we are:
That life prevails, no matter scar,
And hope shines forth, both near and far.
The children laugh with colored eggs,
Their joy a dance on sprightly legs.
The churches ring with anthems’ pegs,
As souls unite, no heart reneges.
The table set with bread and wine,
Recalls the love that intertwines,
The sacrifice, the life divine,
That bids us all to rise and shine.
Yet Easter’s call is more than cheer,
More than the springtime drawing near.
It whispers to the heart’s frontier:
“Arise, let go of doubt and fear.”
For as the Christ from death awoke,
So too our chains can now be broke.
In Him, we find the words He spoke,
A living hope, a sacred yoke.
From Calvary’s hill to empty grave,
The story lives, the soul to save.
Through every storm, through every wave,
His resurrection makes us brave.
No power of hell, no scheme of man,
Can thwart the Father’s holy plan.
The risen King, with outstretched hand,
Leads us to His promised land.
So let us sing, with voices clear,
This Easter truth we hold so dear:
The Lord is risen, banish fear!
Eternal life is drawing near.
From dawn to dusk, through every day,
Let love and hope guide all our way.
For Christ’s Easter light will never stray,
Its glory shines through endless day.
Amen, amen, the heart replies,
As Easter’s Son ascends the skies.
In Christ, we live; in Christ, we rise,
To claim the life that never dies.
Happy Resurrection Weekend!
